Social Security is fine. This is all corporate media hype to serve the financial institutions that want to privatize social security. DON'T FALL FOR IT!

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. (MarketWatch) -- Reports that the Social Security system will soon run out of money have been greatly exaggerated.
As sure as day follows night, the annual report from the board of trustees of the OASDI fund (Old Age Survivors and Disability Insurance otherwise known as Social Security) has brought forth alarms that the fund will run out of money in the not-too-distant future.
Although flush with cash now and over at least the next 10 years, the Social Security system is expected to gradually begin paying out more in benefits than it takes in from payroll taxes with the result that by 2041 its assets, in the words of the trustees, will be exhausted.
For those who look at only the summary page, this conclusion is nothing new. Indeed, the trustees have come to the same conclusion every year -- the only exception being the year the fund is expected to run dry.
In 2000, the system's actuaries thought the assets of this fund would be exhausted by 2032. Two years later it was 2037. Now the projected exhaustion date is 2041.
Meanwhile, the Congressional Budget Office, which makes these projections as well, recently thought the system will remain solvent until at least 2052.
Me, I don't make these projections personally, but I would like to point out that this year, as has been the case every year in the past, the actuaries have made and released not one but three projections. They call them low cost, intermediate and high cost.
The projection that has provoked these alarms is the intermediate projection. This reflects the trustees' consensus views regarding such inputs as economic growth, productivity, inflation, earnings, employment and interest rates.
Judging by past history, assumptions underlying the intermediate projection are very conservative -- especially when it comes to economic growth. And as you might imagine, the speed at which the economy grows has a lot to do with the other variables -- including the interest the fund earns from investing its surplus in Treasuries.
The intermediate projection assumes that the economy will grow by an annual rate of 2.3% per year between now and 2085. This may be higher than the 1.9% per year that was projected as recently as three years ago, but it is still well below the 3.4% that the economy grew on average between 1960 and 2005.
The actuaries' own low cost projection assumes an average annual growth rate of 2.9% between now and 2085. This is higher than the 2.3% pace embodied in the intermediate projection, but it is still well below the 3.4% average of the past.
Guess what? Under the actuaries' low cost projection, the Social Security system never runs out of money!
That said, you might ask the question why this more realistic projection has escaped politicians from both major parties.
I don't know why, but I can only theorize that it's because they haven't taken the time to read the entire report, which is available on the system's website. Here's the link.
If you go beyond the highlights section to the projections section, you will see exactly what I mean.
In other words -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I've been straining my brain trying to figure out why we're involved. Now it's all clear.

America's true reason for intervention, and missile attacks against Libya has become very clear today with a sudden creation by the rebels of a new central bank on March 29th.
The rebels in Libya are in the middle of a life or death civil war and Moammar Gadhafi is still in power and yet somehow the Libyan rebels have had enough time to establish a new Central Bank of Libya and form a new national oil company.  Perhaps when this conflict is over those rebels can become time management consultants.  They sure do get a lot done.  What a skilled bunch of rebels - they can fight a war during the day and draw up a new central bank and a new national oil company at night without any outside help whatsoever.  If only the rest of us were so versatile!  But isn't forming a central bank something that could be done after the civil war is over?  According to Bloomberg, the Transitional National Council has "designated the Central Bank of Benghazi as a monetary authority competent in monetary policies in Libya and the appointment of a governor to the Central Bank of Libya, with a temporary headquarters in Benghazi." – The Economic Collapse via Uruknet
Libya has been one of the last nations in the world that had its own state run banking system, and control over its own money supply.  By having this system in place, they could demand oil purchases from their oil fields to be made in Lybyan Dinar, and not the US Dollar.  It also means that Libya has ensured themselves a stable economy, with little inflation and currency devaluing as most of the industrialized world has under private central banks.
The parallels for both European and US intervention now in Libya is very reminiscent to why the United States attacked Iraq in 2003.  Six months before the US moved into Iraq to take down Saddam Hussein, the oil nation had made the move to accept Euro's instead of dollars for oil, and this became a threat to the global dominance of the dollar as the reserve currency, and its dominion as the petrodollar.
The American people were given the lie that there were weapons of mass destruction (WMD), and that there were Al Quida training bases in the Arab state, both of which were proven to be false.  No, these were false flags given by the government to try to justify a punishment on Iraq for moving away from dollars as payment for oil.
To be able to create a new central bank under the blueprint that is used by Western powers in less than two weeks by the rebels gives vast credence that the rebellion itself in Libya was initiated by outside forces, and not over demands by the citizens of Libya for social reform.  This plan was put in place by the world's game changers who want complete global control over oil and economic systems.
It did not take long before we discovered the real reason why America chose to intervene and attack Libya, and not any of the other nations in the Middle East that are going through internal rebellion.  The rebels creation of a central bank, coupled with the United Nations report two days ago that there would be no sanctions on the selling of oil by the rebels who control certain fields and refineries, proves that this war is not about human rights, but about punishment for a nation that refused to give up its sovereignty to the global banking and oil cabals.

Politifact needs to be fact checked

Politifact says that jon stewart was wrong when he said that faux news viewers were consistently misinformed and faux news' glenn beck jumped on it and posted it on his page as proof that liberals lie and faux viewers are actually geniuses.. unfortunately for politifact, the study organizers wrote to them and said:
Steven Kull, the director of WorldPublicOpinion.org, wrote us after the story appeared to say that testing for lack of knowledge is not enough. "We analyzed the effect of increased exposure to news outlets. We found that with all other outlets, increased exposure generally resulted in less misinformation. However, for Fox viewers, on nine points of information, increased exposure correlated with increased misinformation. This was true of only one point of information for public broadcasting and MSNBC viewers, and two points of information for network news. This effect was found in the 2003 study as well. Fox viewers were the only group for whom increased exposure resulted in greater misinformation."
which blew politifact's analyses out of the water.
i wrote to politifact and made a few points myself that cannot be denied.  i put in links so that you can check for my veracity yourselves, if you are interested in seeing how much dumber faux viewers are than the rest of us.
here is my (edited) letter:
"first off, i don't know why you mentioned o'reilly and hannity.  Jon said Fox viewers, not viewers of individual shows.  so that whole analysis is for nothing.
Secondly, every one of those polls and studies show Fox viewers as being the most misinformed.  I don't know how you can read them any other way.  For every question asked they were CONSISTENTLY wrong.  The answer, whether you like it or not, is yes or no.  They got the answers wrong.  My question is, did you write up this assessment or did Fox news make up a fake page to, again, misinform it's viewers?
in both studies you posted from University of Maryland, One of the Maryland studies actually said, and politifact ignored:
"There were however a number of cases where greater exposure to a news source increased misinformation on a specific issue.   Those who watched Fox News almost daily were significantly more likely than those who never watched it to believe that:
most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)  most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)  the economy is getting worse (26 points)  most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)  the stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)  their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)  the auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points)  when TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points)   and that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)"
how did you just ignore this in your assessment?
and according to this pew poll:
http://tinyurl.com/3wvb5rk
how can you say that fox is within the national average.  did you even look at the polls or studies?
it says that 35% of fox viewers are misinformed.  that's not the "average" as you say.  That's next to the bottom of the list.  only "on line news" comes in lower.
in the 2008 survey you reference,
http://people-press.org/2008/08/17/news-interest-and-knowledge/
in their "education, age and knowledge" section, Fox is again at the rock bottom of the list.  they say the national average on that string of data is "18".  how can it be 18 when it starts as a low of 18 and only moves up from there?  fox is at the bottom of that list.
I tune to you to get the truth but this time you really blew it.  You need to reevaluate this analysis.
You are so far off on this it's hard to take you seriously anymore.  If you have ever watched fox you will hear them giving misinformation as you watch.  There is no doubt that they lie to their viewers in order to pass on an Obama/liberal hating agenda that is based on lies.  I'm very disappointed in you.

stop being "sold to" by the corporate media. become human again..

When i turn on the national media anymore all i see is an infomercial. garbage. "tune out" and "turn into" reality.

.
Perhaps the Beltway elites could be partially excused if these popular views had suddenly sprung out of nowhere, without rhyme or reason. Or if the growth of government recently was explosive, unprecedented or arbitrary. Or if there wasn't a centuries-long history of elites fighting the will of the people over progressive taxation and enhanced social welfare. But none of these is the case. In fact, it's taken a tremendous effort by elites to block out three well-established historical facts, which add tremendous muscle to the effort CAF, CEPR and FAIR (all organizations trying to bring the voices of the people to the media and stop the one sided corporate monologue we hear now.) are spearheading:

1) That government grows in size as economies mature to meet the needs of the people. This is known as "Wagner's Law," first articulated by Adolph Wagner, perhaps the leading conservative economist in Bismark's Germany.

2) That such government spending is profoundly popular in America, not just with liberals, but with self-described conservatives as well. The recent polling opposed to the Ryan Plan has decades of similar results behind it.

3) That there's a direct relationship between democracy, progressive taxation and enhanced social welfare on the one hand, and elite rule, regressive taxation and reduced social welfare on the other. This is why even today, blue states are more prosperous than red states, even though blue states tend to subsidize red states by giving more to the federal government in taxes than they get back in spending.  (hypocritical teabaggers who pay in less than they receive and then blame the feds for it.  i look around me in MS and i see billions worth of infrastructure being built.  men working who would be sitting on their asses if not for the federal government, bitching about taxes and deficits.  it's ok to be taxed as long as it's THEY PERSONALLY who benefit.  they should lose their jobs and be forced onto unemployment if they don't want this more prestigious welfare check.)

Let's look at each of these in turn.

THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!

We, all of the people of the world MUST WAKE UP to the realities. make propaganda useless to them.

by Shelley MoMelly on Monday, May 30, 2011 at 9:23am
I have no faith in the oligarchs who manipulate and propagandize us. they make us believe that serving THEIR interests of securing resources and cheap labor around the world is somehow securing our freedoms. it's not. those rich bastards at the top tell us when to fight and what to fight for. they lie. nobody should have any faith in them because they only work to enrich themselves with the blood and sweat of soldiers and other-wise good people of conscience who just keep quiet and let them loot us.
i saw a video yesterday of people getting arrested at a dc memorial for DANCING, SINGING and otherwise frolicking. the men who did these arrests need to be guided. those they arrested are the one's paying their bills, not the government who cut the check to them. they need to figure out what freedom is and start working toward it because in that video they did everything they could to quash freedom.
the military takes an oath to protect us from foreign and domestic threats. when these corporations start wars in far off places, they are not securing our safety. they are making our safety impossible. every nie (national intelligence estimate) since 2000 has spelled out exactly how we are creating more radical people around the world by killing them and occupying their lands and stealing their resources.. but they have you believe that it's all about freedom and patriotism here. IT'S NOT.
if there were some way that they could magically get every ounce of worth out of this planet at one time, they'd bring the soldiers home to shut us up here. to control us. go to my wall today and read the article i re-posted from an author who GET'S IT.
so our duty, our only job, is to get american's working for and with americans again and NOT be the fodder for these unscrupulous corporations. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOU WOULD HAVE NO BENEFITS WHATSOEVER IF THEY COULD GET AWAY WITH TAKING THEM FROM YOU.

We Need To Fear Ourselves For Becoming Willing Sheep

Marti Oakley
No true terrorist gives a rat’s behind what laws we pass (especially the "patriot act"); if they did, they wouldn’t be terrorists. Nothing in the Patriot Acts will stop terrorism especially when it emanates from within.

These Acts will however:

Stop YOU from traveling unmolested by government agents.

Will also violate your right to privacy and to be,

Secure from illegal search and seizure

Makes legal (not lawful) warrantless searches

Allows unwarranted data mining of any and all information on you, including:

Any comments, beliefs, political opinions, social positions, religious beliefs, political party affiliation, and any other belief system or political view not approved by government.

These Acts are the foundation of the police state being systematically assembled and implemented by Homeland Security

The hunting of the American people

They aren’t looking for terrorists…..they are looking for you.

There is far more to this police state Act than we can go into here. We all know this Act for what it is: The end of our Constitutional Republic and the rise of the police state. And 79 of our Senators took it upon themselves to vote away our liberty and to allow this monster to grow.

Too many of us dutifully comply with the sexual assaults perpetrated by TSA agents across the country. As passengers mewl and whine about how they “are just trying to keep us safe” I have to wonder just how egregious the invasion of our property and most especially the invasion of our persons has to become before we admit that what TSA is doing has nothing to do with your safety. It has everything to do with conditioning and training you to submit and comply, and god knows there are plenty of perverts more than willing to spend their days fondling the genitals of compliant passengers or watching the naked body scanner images. The sexual assaults perpetrated on the public have produced not ONE terrorist unless of course you count the TSA agents. (hay, what can we do man? we're just doin our JOBS!)

TSA is now planned for public buildings, malls, train stations and stadiums. And bunches of you sheeple will whine about how they are just trying to keep you safe! And to add insult to injury, the 2002 homeland Security Act has been amended to include a snitching-for-dollars program which we like to call “The Stool Pigeon Protection Act”.

Fusion Centers are proliferating across the country. These centers do nothing but data mine, snoop, and collect any and all data they can, indiscriminately and without regard to your liberty or civil protections. These are manned by your friends, neighbors and family members who lack morality and any sense of patriotism; people who quickly forgot who they are and where they come from.

Obama and several state senators and governors are contemplating a “per mile” surveillance tax system to be paid for by taxpayers. This new system would require surveillance equipment to be installed on your vehicle, not so much to generate revenue, but more to track your movements so that information could be added to your CIA/FBI/NSA dossier. Once identified in this new system, your ability to purchase gas could be shut off instantly simply by deactivating your vehicle ID number. It could shut off access for one vehicle . . . or all vehicles.

Our police and sheriff departments have been militarized under Homeland Security. (THEY ARE WILLINGLY FIGHTING AGAINST AMERICANS FOR A CORRUPTED AUTHORITARIAN GOVERNMENT) Our police and sheriff department vehicles no longer have the words “To protect and Serve” emblazoned on the sides. This, thanks to a SCOTUS ruling that said law enforcement was under no obligation to protect us unless they arrest us, and then only in a limited fashion . . . and besides . . . they are essentially military units now.

They are hunting you and me…..do you get it yet?

SCOTUS has become a threat to the country at large, ruling time and again against the Constitution and your liberty and protected rights, and in favor of corporate interests many of whom now openly run various agencies of government. When Citizens v United came down, this court should have been immediately disbanded. This decision vested incorporeal, fictional entities with human rights.

We have major cities across the country now purchasing military equipment for use against their communities. A 911 call will elicit a SWAT team response, replete with star wars gear and uniforms, worn by badge heavy, testosterone pulsing storm troopers who don’t care if you have committed a crime or not. (remember yesterday's video of that cop at the memorial in DC taking down those scary dancers?)  They have guns and other weapons and carte blanche to break any and all laws (that apply to civilians) in defense of “government”. These law enforcement officers, once the hero’s of children and many adults are now a menace to their communities and present a greater threat than your run of the mill criminal.  (we will have to stop them someday.  hopefully they can be reasoned with.)

...Homeland Security has ordered 500 roving vans complete with x-ray scanners to be used across the country. You can be scanned walking down the street, in public places or even in your own yard. Why? You might be a terrorist. With our economy in shambles, and the national debt posing a real threat, the best they could come up with is to spend another estimated ½ billion dollars on vans to cruise our streets and surreptitiously x-ray to see if we have weapons on us? Really?

There is far more to this than the few items listed here. A repeal of the Patriot Act 1 and the misnamed “Security Enhancement Act of 2003”…an expansion of the first Act, would go along way in restoring the integrity of government and our freedom. But today, 79 Senators decided you were not worth it. 79 Senators committed an act of treason against the people they are supposed to represent and sold off their freedom, liberty and rights.

79 Senators…that’s all it took to lay waste to the Constitution. Not to worry! Several of them will be on various cable news shows talking about “keeping America safe”, “national security”, “the war of terror”, and trying to convince us that the only way we can be safe is if we forfeit our rights, freedom and our Constitution.

79 Senators…and not one of them will admit that the terrorists you need to fear, the people you need to be protected from…..is them.

Just a fb note.

did you know most of you have preferences set so that every time you add a friend it shows up on everyone else's wall? just go to "account" "privacy settings", edit your sharing and and connecting details, to block out those features that you don't want everyone to see. i'm trying to get everything working in facebook for myself. it's sometimes hard to navigate but once it's gone, i hope it's really gone. is anyone seeing when i add friends, for example? why would i want anyone to know when i add a friend? that's default for fb.

Why do we pay for Israel's bidding? Pay the costs both human and financial?

Escobar Brilliantly Summarizes Obama’s New Middle East Policy

Pepe Escobar had another brilliant piece on Obama’s recent Middle East speech, and as always he is on the money:

So to make a story short, here’s a concise New Middle East Obama policy. We support “our” bastards (dictators) who are sophisticated enough to beat, arrest and kill their own people in the low hundreds (Bahrain). We get slightly annoyed by “our” war on terror collaborators who crudely beat, arrest and kill their own people also in the low hundreds (Yemen). We’re strongly inclined to ditch our support for unreliable, Iran-aligned dictators who beat, arrest and kill their own people in the high hundreds (Syria).

We unleash war – via the North Atlantic Treaty Organization as a weaponized arm of the United Nations – over unreliable oil-wealthy dictators who beat, arrest and kill their own people in alleged thousands (Libya). And we remain absolute mute about “our” monarchical bastards who pre-empt the possibility of democratic protests (Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia) or invade their neighbors to smash ongoing peaceful protests (Saudi Arabia).

http://dandelionsalad.wordpress.com/2011/05/24/obamas-new-middle-east-policy-ambitious-fiction-and-monarchial-bastards/

And this on Obama’s flowery rhetoric which failed big time to conceal what that speech was all about:

And when Obama stressed that “endless delay” won’t “make the problem go away” he totally missed the point; it’s by employing “endless delay” tactics that every Israeli government has kept settlement-building on overdrive and totally encircled East Jerusalem, while relentlessly applying a “divide and rule” strategy (pitting Fatah against Hamas) to crush Palestinian morale.

No flowery rhetoric can conceal that this is all about – what else – “protecting” Israel (mentioned 28 times in the speech). Further factual confirmation this weekend, when Obama addresses the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee bash, and next Monday, when Netanyahu addresses that Tel Aviv talk shop known as the US Congress.
let your voices on this matter be heard.  Do we take care of ourselves and, in the process, forge a strong and lasting peace in the middle east or do we continue with Israel's plan of wiping palestine off of the face of the map, literally, not figuratively in order to steal their land once and for all? Israel has our government doing it's bidding by being a powerful lobbying committee in washington.  They lobby to get our tax dollars transferred to israel and then reinvest those dollars into our military industrial complex.  a sort of incestuous relationship that keeps the rich and powerful, rich and powerful.  it's a cycle that will never end until we bring light onto it's existence.  we give them our tax dollars, they lobby to take more of our tax dollars which crush palestinians which just serves to continue the cycle and not make any one of us, palestinians, americans or jews, any safer, but only to make israel more powerful.  only we can stop this but only if we know what's happening.  i know that sometimes these issues seem to be far apart but they are not.  transfer of wealth and power is at the basis of all that our governments do.  once they know we are through with them using american workers as their private atm's, we can stop them.  but how do they know that we know if we don't tell them?  we have to knock their hair back with the knowdge that we know what they're doing.  they need to fear us.
does all my writing help you to know what is going on?  if not, tell me what to say to make you understand!  we're allowing them to rape and pillage us in the name of raping and pillaging palestine in the name of raping and pillaging us.  kind of an international money laundering scheme.  in the name of a trumped up security scheme that protects NOBODY. and has costs us trillions over the years to sustain on the backs of innocent people all over the world.   most horrendously, against one set of people who had everything they owned by them taken from them 70 years ago by the swipe of a pen with no recourse for them.  palestinians.

The big blue country between Iraq and Afghanistan is Iran.  Next to Saudi Arabia, which is the country south of Iraq, Iran is the richest in oil.  It is the only place in the middle east that our corporations and military do not have a military presence.  Our corporations are champing at the bit to get to that oil.  It is the only reason you even know the word "Iran".  Don't fall for more wars that only succeed in profiting our corporations while wassting our lives.  Iran is no danger to us.  None.

Someone asked the difference between the Republican and Democratic party. This was my response.

historically democrats have been the party of the working class and republicans the party of the investor and corporate class. nowadays though, working class americans are brain washed into thinking that the republican party is their party because they speak out about things that don't affect those working masses but which those masses hate, like gays and abortion. doesn't affect them personally at all but it's red meat to feed them to make them vote against their own best financial interest. and even when they were in power, 6 years with both houses of congress and the presidency and the right wing supreme court, they did nothing about those social issues that the duped working masses who voted for them, voted for them for.
democrats were the party fo the working masses and most still are, but there are what are called "blue dogs" who vote for everything corporate against their own party. i wish they'd just switch parties and go to where they belong and give the working masses back their party. the democratic party is the party that brought us social security, medicare, medicaid, food stamps, a 40 hour work week, a minimum wage, unemployment benefits, job safety requirements because so many laborers were being unnecessarily harmed on the job. harmed or losing their jobs. they brought us workman's compensation in case a worker is injured on the job, the job pays for his or her recovery. republicans HATE all of those programs and are trying to disassemble them one at a time or each one a little at a time. republicans think that if we deserve any of those programs, a private entity should be making a profit off of our tax dollars before we get them. they call it "private" but they are paid with tax dollars. the only difference being that they make a profit and keep it, public services do make a profit (held in treasury bonds usually) and are reinvest it into serving the public.

A Conversation With a Friend

Conversation started when he thought that Obama was going to let tax cuts expire on everyone. That's what the article he sent me said. But I took him into the realm of the media and it's manipulation of reality.

I have came to the point where I don’t care what they do with this problem as I sick and tired of each side blaming the other about what going to happen. If the country goes down the tube so be it and if it start to come back so be it. I'm to the point where I don’t care anymore one way or the other, but i will still let them know what I think.

John

John, read that article again. it's talking about if congress does nothing, taxes will rise on everyone. but obama is fighting to keep tax cuts for everyone making under $200,000 and $250,000 (single or family) and increasing taxes by 2 or 3% on those making over that amount. just letting the bush tax cuts expire on that group, back up to what it was during the clinton era. i don't think you're in that group! i know i'm not! and if i were, i'd only be paying that extra couple of percentage points on that amount OVER $200,000.. i'd still get the tax cuts that everyone else is getting up to that amount.

so never give up honey. just know the facts so you know what you're fighting for. sincere people have to stand up for what they believe in. and you got heart. knowing what is actually going on rather than what we are being told is going on is the trick. they(the powers that be that profit off of manipulating us.) own the media. i don't believe anything they say unless it can be cross-referenced with a lot of independent sources.

did you notice that the story about israel bombing palestine that you posted yesterday has been silenced? nobody claimed responsibility for the rockets launched into an empty field in israel. i can't prove it and i am not sure yet, my opinion, knowing what monsters they are in israel, is that they did it themselves so that they wouldn't be stopped from stealing more land and building more settlements all because of some bothersome peace deal. they don't want peace EVAHHH. but that's how our media is manipulating us. they can tell us anything and we just uncritically believe it.

remember when osama bin ladin was criminal number one for 9/11 by the fbi? if you go to their site, it doesn't he's wanted for 9/11 at all. he isn't. and when asked what he was wanted for, cheney said that he had no evidence that bin ladin had anything to do with 9/11. but that's not what he was selling before the wars. you know that as well as i do.

When the FBI was asked why 9/11 isn't listed under Bin Laden's crimes, the FBI responded by saying "There's simply no evidence linking Bin Laden to 9/11".

"9/11 is not mentioned on Osama bin Laden's Most Wanted page. He has not been formally indicted and charged in connection with 9/11 because the FBI has no hard evidence connected Bin Laden to 9/11." -- FBI agent Rex Tomb, June 6, 2006."

cheney saying that he and the bush administration never made the case that osama bin ladin was responsible for 9/11.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_1_huLZJx4&feature=related

why am i telling you this? because i know you still believe it and i know this whole hysteria against muslims (who have been in this country since the 1500's due to slavery) is all a media-manufactured lie to control the population. republicans need fear to get people to vote for them. they're experts at wielding that sword too. it's all a media-manufactured lie. i knew this stuff before the iraq war started because i looked at every UN release, every independent piece of news out there. i knew they were lying. and yet, when i told any right winger, they'd call me a traitor and an america hater. i say the person who allows themselves to be lied to at the tune of thousands of our dead and millions of muslim dead is the traitor. not caring enough to even investigate what liberals were telling them. not caring if it were true or not. they were trained to hate muslims and they went along with it all. so why are we in iraq and afghanistan again? (i'm pretty sure i told you about the pipeline the oil industry wants to run through afghanistan) the government even showed a video of a guy who looked like osama bin ladin admitting to planning the attacks and being so delighted when the planes caused more damage than he thought they would. the video was shown to be a fake. a look alike. it was all over the main stream media. a corporate owned conglomeration that tells you what to think, and feel and after they've done that, they tell you what to do.. duct tape those windows! duck and cover! red alert! kiss your ass goodbye! they're coming after you! talk about never letting a tragedy go to waste. bush and cheney are war criminals.

bin laden on the fbi's most wanted list. no mention of 9/11.

people who don't know things should learn what a person who does know things sounds like so they can listen to them. like this global warming. it is a certainty. my husband is an oceanographer (a branch of climatology), most of the people we associate with are scientist. they are not bought by any wind mill or solar company to write up bogus science. they just find something that needs to be explained and then use physics to explain it. if 2 or 3 other phd. level scientists agree that the scientific method used is sound, it passes for a reality-based theory. there is a scientific consensus. over 98% of scientists agree that global warming is a reality. over 90% believe it is exacerbated by human actions.

never give up john. just know who to trust. the last people you want to trust are in the corporate media unless you can back up what they say with independent media. i can give you many sources of independent media if you are interested in cutting through the lies. i hate to hear you saying you give up. don't do it. just know what you are fighting for!
